HsinLung Lo, PhD

Dr. Lo brings 12 years of Research experience to MEDomics.

Dr. Lo operates the Applied Biosystems SOLiD NextGen Sequencer and conducts research projects at MEDomics. Dr. Lo has a broad background in molecular biology, cancer biology and gene therapy research, with specific training and expertise in DNA damage induced apoptosis and Lentivirus mediated siRNA/ miRNA expression. Prior to joining MEDomics, Dr. Lo was an Application Scientist at Beckman Coulter Inc., involved in research protocol design and scientific instrument development. Dr. Lo received his Ph.D degree at University of California, Riverside, Division of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Lo studied differential biologic effects of CPD and 6-4PP UV-induced DNA damage on the induction of apoptosis and cell-cycle arrest. Dr. Lo finished his postdoctoral research at City of Hope National Medical Center by developing Lentiviral vectors for effective delivery of siRNA and miRNA for anti-HIV therapy.
