Specimen Requirements for MitoDx™

2. A referring physician's signature on the Test Request Form

Whole blood samples

Two EDTA (lavender top) or ACD (yellow top) tubes, ~5-10 cc each (for a total of ~10-20 cc) are required for testing. Blood samples should be kept at ambient temperature and shipped by overnight courier to MEDomics^TM within 72 hours after specimen collection. DO NOT FREEZE.  

DNA samples

Extracted DNA samples are acceptable for testing. Samples should contain a minimum of 1μg DNA at a concentration of ≥10ng/μl. DNA purity (A260/280) should be ≥1.7.
